| Help me, please, with Windows Not-So-Easy Transfer I am using an external hard drive to do the transfer. I set it up on my old computer, started the transfer and went to sleep. When I woke up, I tried to finish the transfer on my new computer, but when it asked me to find the "from old computer" file, and I found it on my external hard drive, I got a message that said: "Please select valid file". I did it again and again and I got the same message. What could that mean? Please help. I am very frustrated. I'm transferring from a Dell Dimension 4700 Desktop to a Dell Inspiron 1721 Notebook |

| Re: Help me, please, with Windows Not-So-Easy Transfer I would be very tempted to try again, but save the file to the internal HDD. Once it is created, copy it to the external drive and see if that works. It sounds like the file is corrupted. -- A Professional Amateur...If anyone knew it all, none of would be here!
