| Re: Aero down, copy validated, still saying not genuine, can't open ctrl panel I suggest you reinstall Vista then. Also, if your Windows Vista is not validated, it should be prompting you to activate it before continuing, you wouldn't have access to the desktop until you do so. Try this suggestion by Carey Frisch [MVP] 1. Click on the Start button and in the Start Search box type in: slui.exe 4 2. Press the Enter key on your keyboard. 3. Select your Country. 4. Follow the instructions for phone activation. 5. Once completed, restart your computer. -- Andre Blog: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com My Vista Quickstart Guide: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E8E5CC039D51E3DB!9709.entry "julianeve" <julianeve.3338k2@no-mx.forums.net> wrote in message news:julianeve.3338k2@no-mx.forums.net... > > I can't do it, it won't even open properties of my computer! > > > -- > julianeve |

| Re: Aero down, copy validated, still saying not genuine, can't open ctrl panel When I did that, with an installation of Vista, during it's 30 day trial period, I didn't need Safe Mode, only Administrator privileges... I don't now what would happen, because the command prolongs the trial period, I don't know if it would actually start a new one if his Windows has already used up all 30 days, or if it's "counterfeit" (as stated in the original post)...
