| Re: How can I remove the Windows Vista version sign? Hi On Windows XP info about Windows version was displayed depends on value PaintDesktopVersion in registry. I can't check now but you can try: Start menu -> run -> regedit Go to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop Modify PaintDesktopVersion entry to 0 Marcin Domaslawski Użytkownik "Que$tions" <Quetions@discussions.microsoft.com> napisał w wiadomości news:0EA7B813-CD84-47E3-B560-1D690A1CB9AA@microsoft.com...[color=blue] > Hello, > How can I remove the "Windows Vista (TM) Evaluation Copy. | Re: How can I remove the Windows Vista version sign? You did install evaluation software ( SP1 which is Beta/RC and timelimited ).. So you must not wonder that it turned the whole OS into evaluation mode. If you would have read the documentation before you would have been aware of this. Anywhere, I don't see where the pain in having such an watermark is. It does not substract any features from Vista and it also does not say that the copy is not legit. It's just to recognize those Vistas as a different version than stock/retail. By the time it goes rtm there will be no watermarks. It would help if people read the documentation for SP1 RC. |
