Lost key cd

Hi, um I think I threw away my key cd for my computer. You know the one with
all the numbers on it that proves you bought the product. And my cpu is
asking for the numbers to register trial version of Microsoft word 2008. is
there a way to find out the key from the computer itself or do i need to get
a new one or do I have to buy a new computer(please not that one).

Re: Lost key cd

The key for VISTA should be on a label installed by the factory on the case.
The Office key should be either on the CD sleeve or with the documentation
that came with the system.

There should be a key code sticker somewhere on the computer case. This is
the key code for VISTA, not the key code for MS OFFICE.

If you want to use MS Office beyond the trial period, you have to BUY it.

An alternative to buying MS Office is to download and run Open Office from

Re: Lost key cd

Thats a Trial version of Microsoft Word (2007) that OEMs include with your
computer, when it expires you are required to buy it before you can continue
using the suite.
