| Windows Gadget & Norton Internet Securuty 2008 I have been using a Windows Vista Gadget called "DC Wireless Network Monitor" to show the status and strength of my wireless signal. It, and other Wireless signal gadgets had been working fine until I installed Symantec's Norton Internet Security 2008. Now, all show nothing, no signal or disconnected. I assume NIS 2008 is somehow blocking the "Gadget" from getting the wireless info. Any ideas or suggestion? Thanks, CSM |

| Re: Windows Gadget & Norton Internet Securuty 2008 Hi, My solution would be to remove the Norton software and install something/anything else, but should you want to keep it you'll need to check with Symantec support to see if they can offer a fix. It may be that a port the gadgets use is blocked (which is my first thought), or that some setting in the software is blocking other processes from gathering the network information. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "CSM" <csm55********.com> wrote in message news:B0CB4A07-F6C3-4C38-B6C5-B9639F53BBB6@microsoft.com... >I have been using a Windows Vista Gadget called "DC Wireless Network >Monitor" to show the status and strength of my wireless signal.
