| Can't burn a DVD - get msg "Insert a disc" but never recognizes DV Since installing Vista, I have lost the functionality of using the DVD portion of my DVD/CD writer. It's an HP Media Center desktop, model m7334n. It used to work and I have burned DVDs when I ran XP. Now when I click on burn, I get the message, "Insert a disc", but it never goes any further. I've tried the recommendation to delete filters, but I renamed LowFilters to OLDLowFilters and had no HighFilters entry under the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} That didn't make any difference, even after a reboot. I have the current drivers and am running out of things to try. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this problem. I can read a CD but not DVD. I was using Windows DVD Maker when trying to burn pictures to a DVD. Thanks for your help in advance, Paul |

| RE: Can't burn a DVD - get msg "Insert a disc" but never recognizes DV You may need to reinstall your driver. If Windows Explorer does not see your drive, this download will fix the problem. | RE: Can't burn a DVD - get msg "Insert a disc" but never recognize The tool you reference says it was intended for XP only. Do you know if it will also fix the problem I am having with Vista?
