| Virtual Server Vs. Virtual Pc. Good morning Please, I need your help because I'm Oracle DBA, and I have a Laptop with Windows Vista Ultimate, in this momen, i whant create test environments in my machine, with another OS, but I dont know what software use, if it´s better use Virtual Pc or Virtual Server, Really i'm not clear about differences between both tools. Please could you advising me on this item? Waiting for your help and thanks in advance!!! |

The differences are rather in the fonctions. You can build a Virtual disk with any of them and then use any of them. Remember there is also a free VMWare player, and free "Virtual box" as choice. I would start with Virtual PC 2007 as it is the most easy to setup. Virtual server can be managed from any browser. I never tested any of them under Vista (I use XP as host). Daniel |
