Resolution Keeps Changing on Sony VAIO

Hi. Why my resolution and font size/type always change everytime I restart
the my laptop? My video card is Nvidia 7400 and I have checked, I am running
the latest driver. I didn't had this problem before only after I hooked it up
to my Samsung LCD Monitor. Now it becomes erratic. I am running Vista
Business

Do I have to change my resolution etc manually everytime? This sounds
stupid...

Thanks for helping me..
