| Default highlight blue color question I just got a new computer and am using Vista for the first time. So far, so good, however . . . . . Is it possible to change the default highlight blue color that prevails currently in Vista? The blue is fine for some things, and I can live with it in most cases, but it is not helpful in some my other applications, especially in PhotoshopCS3, GoLive and other application products where color decisions are being made. I work with photography and other images, and the blue is very distracting when making color decisions. In PS, the blue even surrounds the image windows within the program windows. I would much rather have a light grey color instead. If there is no solution to this problem, are there other programs/apps out there that will help to make the change from blue to grey? Does WindowBlinds do that kind of thing? Thanks for any help I can get. I hope there's a solution or workaround. David davidxix@isoc.net |

| Re: Default highlight blue color question Hi, Right click the desktop, choose personalize. Click on Windows Color and Appearance. If you get the Vista theme colors, click the line at the bottom to go to the "classic appearance properties for more color options". In here click the advanced button. From the dropdown, locate "selected items". Change the color here. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "David Walker" <davidxix@isoc.net> wrote in message news:u5z$lgqLIHA.1188@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... >I just got a new computer and am using Vista for the first time. | Re: Default highlight blue color question Thanks, Rick, for the very speedy reply. Your directions WORKED perfectly for the highlight color behind the text (using 'selected items'), however, the window borders still keep the blue in PS. Any suggestion to help get rid of the blue in the borders as well? I appreciate your help.
