Hello,

I have read quite a few threads relating this condition, however none of
them are the same as what I am experiencing. When in another program and I
choose to open something from the "Start" button, say control panel or
computer info or windows explorer a window appears saying, "windows explorer
has stopped working", "restarting windows explorer". Windows then restarts
and everything then works. I do not get the, as described, loop of windows
opening.

Any ideas?

Error messages are being logged in the Application or System event logs,
which can be located off of Control Panel/Admin Tools.

What are the error messages in the logs?
