I did a system recovery to reinstall Windows Vista. Now we cannot install
programs that we had installed previously. Get error message "Unable to copy
file c:\windows\system32\*.*"

Use their installation disks to repair them.

Are you referring to installation disks for Vista or for the other programs?
I used Vista Recovery located on the partitioned hard drive. If you are
referring to the program disks, what is to repair?
