| Windows Security vs Norton Security New Vista computer. Does Windows work with Norton? I paid for Norton and it works great. I also 'signed up' for Windows Security but it tells me my computer is not protected. Windows gives me the big red X from Windows firewall and Malware protection. Window and Norton don't seem to work together. Grrr. Should I get rid of Windows Security? If so, how in the world do I get rid of it? Thanks |

Grrr.[/color] It's not recommended to run two firewalls and/or two anti-virus programs at the same time, they may conflict with each other and cause connection problems, even chrashes. I believe the culprit is Vista. Try 'exiting' Norton and re-starting. If the 'X' shield disappears, then you have hit the same Vista bug as I. (No comment about your choice of Norton.) |
