| Windows WPD FileSystem Volume Driver Vista Home Premium & WPD FileSystem Volume Drive Error Code 10 In Control Panel - Devices - Portable Devices it shows an exclamation point next to Microsoft WPD FileSystem Volume Driver. I selected Update Driver and it said that the driver was updated successfully, but the exclamation point remains, so I look at properties and it says error code 10. Also, some times when I put my computer on, I get an error message that Microsoft windows has to load the WPD FileSystem Volume Driver. I select okay. It goes through the process of searching and installing, but then generates an error code 10. I go back to the Devices and select property on the WPD which still has an exclamation point and sure enough it says Device cannot start Code 10 error. Any ideas how to get this file to update. Nothing seems to work. Desperate! This morning I started my computer and it did not ask to update the WPD driver, but it still has the exclamation point. What is this driver used for? -- Eclecticats ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eclecticats's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=34709 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=849783 http://forums.techarena.in |

| RE: Windows WPD FileSystem Volume Driver I started having this same problem after I installed the Windows Mobile Device Center Update 6.1 from Microsoft. I tried uninstalling the "driver update" and the error still persists. I keep sending the error to Microsoft hoping they'll fix it? I have Vista Business on a Sony VAIO laptop. | RE: Windows WPD FileSystem Volume Driver Similar issue. Against Windows WPD File system Volume Driver under Device Manager I get Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) Checking for solutions gives no response. | RE: Windows WPD FileSystem Volume Driver I am getting this exact same problem now (Code 19). Did anyone ever find a solution to this? I can't seem to find one anywhere and am afraid to "uninstall" these drivers. I can't use any Cameras on my computer with this problem. Any ideas? Problem is sayme as Symbo: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available." I get this same error with all of the cameras I try to connect. Very frustrating. I can't tell if it is recent Windows updates or uninstalling Norton 360/Adobe Acrobat Pro that might have done this. Checking for solutions doesn't return anything...arg...
