| CD Drive problems I have a relatively new (May) laptop that came with Vista Home Premium installed. I have had trouble with it not recognizing the DVD drive. I made adjustments to the registry according to Microsoft Knowledge base http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/314060. It worked for a while, then all of a sudden it was not recognizing the D drive again (not showing up in Explorer, when you put a CD in it runs for a minute then stops), so I again adjusted the registry according to the above instructions. Now the drive is showing up on Explorer, but when I put a CD in it runs and runs, the autorun program doesn't run, and when I double-click on the D Drive in Explorer it just hangs up. HELP!! What do I do now? I need files off of the CD's! Leslie |
