Many reasons possible. One, which I had to solve yesterday, was to change
the broadcast-channel. You might find the possibility to change the channel
in the settings of your router. In my case, there was no connection between
router and laptop anymore. A lot of SSID's could be seen in the
neighbourhood. I changed the channel from 11 to 6 - and all was good.
Obviously many other people were operating on that channel 11.
