Microsoft Office XP Professional 2002

Is this product compatible with Vista. I am unable to install on my new
computer, it keeps coming up with
error 1919 Error configuring ODBC data. MS Access Database.
error 6. Component not found in the registry.
Verify that the file MS Access database exists and that you can access it.

I have tried 4-5 times taking out a different program each time , but it
still comes up with the same error

Thanks

Have you tried running Setup in Compatibility Mode? Open the Office XP disk
in 'Computer', right click 'Setup' > click Properties > Compatibility tab >
click in the list box > and select an appropriate version of Windows that
works with Office XP Windows XP or 2000.

Until you are able to resolve that issue, you might want to install
OpenOffice.org - it's a free, open source office suite compatible with MS
Office.

Yes I have tried the compatibility mode no success, I have been told that it
is not compatible with Vista and that I should use Microsoft Office 2003
