Opening Windows

Hey I've just noticed lately that when my friends open their different
screens on their computer it looks as though the screen is going from small
to big, whereas mine just sort of appears on the screen with no nice
transition. i was just wondering if anyone knew how to change this specific
setting, and if so please let me know! thanks!

RE: Opening Windows

Is your friend using a Cathode-Ray Tube (CRT) monitor, or an LCD flat screen
display? If it is the former, then it may be a sign of the resolution being
too high or the tube burning out.

Control Panel>Performance Information and Tools>Adjust Visual Effects.

Animate windows when resizing. ???

Vista will have determined what you best settings are for the hardware
you have, slow less powerful video card = less options checked.

What, exactly, do you mean by "...my friends open their different screens on
their computers..."? Is the intention that "different screens" means
different applications being opened on an already running Vista? Or do you
mean when your friends first start Vista? I cannot ascertain from your
description which scenario you're trying to describe. (Or a totally
different scenario...)

Thanks,

Lang
