Hi,

I have been trying to make my computer time & internet time the same. I have
downloaded the Vista patch due to daylight savings but still had no luck.
I have clicked on DATE and TIME settings, under the Internet tab, my
computer wont synchronize with internet time server. It keeps coming up: An
error has occurred while windows was synchronizing with time.windows.com

Do you know how I can fix this??

I got it also. I tried to ping time.windows.com, the response was always
request time out. I just assume that the server is not there

Try using a different time server. A quick Google search will show that
there are many you can choose from.

That's not unusual at all. Most servers won't return a ping. That's a
security choice that the server administrator makes.

Right Click on Time in taskbar
Choose adjust date and time
Choose internet Tab
Choose Change Settings.
Choose a different server.

Any chance your firewall program is blocking the time application?

CORRECT -- ONLY "UPDATE NOW" -- CLICK IT, AND IN A FEW SECONDS THE

LOL... this is a Vista group, so we all assumed you have Vista.

The Change Settings button gets you to the same screen where the "Update
Now" is in XP.
Try copying some of the below servers into the server box...and see if any
of them work.

time.windows.com
time.nist.gov
time-nw.nist.gov
time-a.nist.gov
time-b.nist.gov
tick.usno.navy.mil
