| XP My network Places - Vista Network we populate the comment field on login with the user name. in xp when i look at "Microsoft Windows Network" it shows the comment field and it's easy to identify which users are on which machines. I can't get Vista to show me the same information. in network, how do i get it to show a column with the comments? ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. | RE: XP My network Places - Vista Network A workaround: I've found an answer for this one. From an XP computer on your domain, create a shortcut to your network: 1. Open My Network Places 2. Click "Entire Network" on the left. 3. Open "Microsoft Windows Network" 4. Right-click your network and click "Create Shortcut" Copy that shortcut to your Vista machine and you should be good to go. |
