file size

what is the max file size that i can keep up in
ntfs and fat32 file systems.

can i club my dvd's into i movie file of 4gb or more.

FAT and FAT32 are limited to 4GB file size.

NTFS has a maximum file size of 16 Terabytes (minus 64KB).

*Way* more than the largest drive you can buy--16TB.

4GB. One of the many reasons to avoid using FAT32.

Since I can have a Raid "drive" of 16TB today (and maybe spanned volumes
greater!) I wonder when someone will have a need for that file...
