| Inability to remove Vista Start Search For those of us who have, for years, been accustomed to accessing the start menu from the keyboard, not being able to remove the Start Search box from the start menu is very annoying. When I hit the Windows key and start typing letters, I want to access the menu items themselves, I don't want to perform a search for items on the start menu. Please add the ability to remove the Start Search box from the start menu. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. | RE: Inability to remove Vista Start Search I Just Clicked I Disagree, Just FYI. P.S. Windows Vista Service Pack One Will Contain No New Features In It (Unlike Windows XP Service Pack 2, Which Added Hundreds Of New Fatures To It), So If Your Looking For New Features In The Microsoft Operating System, Windows Vista Service Pack One Is Not The Way To Go, Just FYI. Instead What You Are Most Likely Looking For Is Windows Server 2008 Release Candidate 0, Which Is Much More Advanced, More Stable, And More Relieable than Windows Vista RTM, Just FYI. | Re: Inability to remove Vista Start Search well i often do, you can easily do it with just one more keystroke: key up, or down, or left, or right, or tab... once the focus is out of the search box you can access the menu by typing the letters exactly as before however if you want to navigate through the installed programs making a search may be faster actually |

| Poor Kevin WASHINGTON - Denying that he did anything wrong and stating emphatically that "I am gay, realy gay," Sen. Larry Craig asked the people of Idaho on Tuesday to forgive him for being arrested two months ago in a police sting in a men's room at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Senator Craig said he was just trying to meet with vista.general troll Kevin Putzke. Craig, who was taken into custody on June 11 by a plainclothes officer investigating reports of lewd conduct in the restroom, said he pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge in an effort to suppress a story - pursued by his home-state newspaper - that he has secretly engaged in gay trysts with Tibery-OS, the vista.general troll who frequents gay establishments and trolls the forums for gay Senators. Craig said the story has been following him for nearly a year. "For eight months leading up to June 11th my family and I had been relentlessly and viciously harassed by the Idaho Statesman. If you saw the article today, you know why. Let me be clear: I am not gay. I never have been gay," Craig said in a news conference in his hometown of Boise. Kevin Putzke said he also has no comment. Just FYI. "kevpan815" <kevpan815@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7BF65A2F-CFF5-4325-A9ED-6D80D96A8511@microsoft.com...[color=blue] >I Just Clicked I Disagree, Just FYI. P.S. | Inability to remove Vista Start Search I agree that the search box needs to be removed. Using classic menu prevents access to My Computer, which we use alot when other windows are maximized. We don't necessarily want to disable search (although I do), but we NEED to have the search box removed.
