Windows update wont/cannot update and spits out the error below

WindowsUpdate_800F081F WindowsUpdate_dt000

I've reviewed the history and find this as well,

Windows Update software 7.0.6000.381
Installation date: ‎6/‎10/‎2007 10:28 AM
Installation status: Failed
Error details: Code 800F081F
Update type: Important

Any suggestions or fixes please.

i just wanted to tell you i had the same problem and the fools at
microsoft,they dont know how to fix the problem either..they sent me to this
forum site..it took me two days to search and look..for something to fix this
and then i found it..the fix is so simple..its just a common sense..thing..so
easy to fix,no body .can figure this out and i did

but then those asses at microsoft,that didnt help me at all,,will know.i just
hate to let them know.this one a from there told me to do all this stupid
stuff,to my computer,,what ever they are paying them guys they are geting
paid too much

im getting fed up with my computer saying.
windows cant check for updates.
same code..
someone said do it maully how do yoou do that?

That's a seven-month-old post you're replying to.

I wish someone would post a viable fix or work around for this error. If
anyone has one please post it.
