You don't know much about Usenet or computers if you can't understand
that during the first years release that about 95% of all posts will be
negative, that's how it works bud.

Fact is that Vista, other than being a resource hog and forcing people
to upgrade hardware and apps, runs quite well on quality systems - just
like XP and 2000 required updates from 98SE/NT4.....

I had plenty of problems back in April when I bought a Vista machine. Most have gone away
but there are still problems with the 64 bit browser (no flash player available). 64 bit
just won't work on some web sites. I bought the machine with 4 gig RAM and just upgraded
it to 6 gig. It flies but I'm told that with the dual core intel, a 5.3 rating is about
the best you can get. I've noticed that the processor often maxes out so I'm going to
upgrade to a quad soon. Many of the problems I had went away with the Vista updates and
I'm happy with it.
