What is the message? |

| Re: Activate Vista Home Basic Hi Danny, It has nothing to do with the key used for installation. It has everything to do with the system hardware. Either a component is faulty, or the English version disk you used does not have a driver that supports a key component (probably a motherboard driver). -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Danny" <Danny@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5BB04660-0187-4FA3-BED1-70FBCAFB6200@microsoft.com... > Hi, I bought a new computer in China, so the Windows language is Chinese > Language, so I reformat that Windows and change with English Windows > Vista.. > After installation I activate my windows with my CD Key, yah it's works.. > Windows says mine is genuine.. | Re: Activate Vista Home Basic Use the F8 key and choose not to restart on error. Then you can read your messages. The first one seems quite clear. Your English language version will not operate with a Chinese key. | Re: Activate Vista Home Basic I could be wrong, but I think you can not use a Chinese key with an English installation. -Paul Randall "Danny" <Danny@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7524322C-D813-4483-895E-A4DE5B7A35A5@microsoft.com... > > > "Charlie Tame" wrote: > >> Danny wrote: >> > Hi, I bought a new computer in China, so the Windows language is >> > Chinese >> > Language, so I reformat that Windows and change with English Windows >> > Vista.. >> > After installation I activate my windows with my CD Key, yah it's >> > works.. >> > Windows says mine is genuine.. It fits pretty well with Microsoft's business model and treatment of customers. -- Stephan 2003 Yamaha R6 君のこと思い出す日なんてないのは 君のこと忘れたときがないから |
