| windows explorer has stopped working....window explorer restarting I am getting this message: windows explorer has stopped working....window explorer restarting constantly. It seems to happen most when I do something in Control Panel, maybe like uninstalling a program or checking on my security settings, basically anything. I don't know if a program is causing a program. I recenently installed Roxio Media Creator 10 but then uninstalled it because it used up a large amount of memory and I didn't like that. Here are the specs of my computer (built by myself): OS Name Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Business Version 6.0.6000 Build 6000 Other OS Description Not Available OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Name System Manufacturer INTEL_ System Model DG965RY_ System Type X86-based PC Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz, 2996 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s) BIOS Version/Date Intel Corp. | RE: windows explorer has stopped working....window explorer restar hi ,there is no cure you will have to try a system restore from boot (usualy with limited success)or do a full re-install . the problem is caused by incompatible software being installed ,there are numerous "fixes"but i have not heard of one that works all of the time for all of the people so you could end up searching for fixes tryng them and still not getting anywere -- martyb "emad senejani" wrote: [color=blue] > > > "hunting_bears" wrote: >[color=green] > > I am getting this message: windows explorer has stopped working....window > > explorer restarting constantly. | Re: windows explorer has stopped working....window explorer restar your'e forgetting that when this happens you can't open anything when it happened to me i had to disable all security and restore from boot because i couldn't open anything so looking in event manager is pointless -- martyb "Cal Bear '66" wrote: [color=blue] > Another option is to use Control Panel (Classic view) > "Problem Reports and > Solutions" to obtain clues as to what is causing the problem when you right > click on the problem and View Details. > > > I Bleed Blue and Gold > GO BEARS! > > > "marty" <marty@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:A1F14071-A7CE-42A5-8483-7BF8475247F4@microsoft.com...[color=green] > > hi ,there is no cure you will have to try a system restore from boot (usualy > > with limited success)or do a full re-install . the problem is caused by > > incompatible software being installed ,there are numerous "fixes"but i have > > not heard of one that works all of the time for all of the people so you > > could end up searching for fixes tryng them and still not getting anywere > > -- > > martyb > > > > > > "emad senejani" wrote: > >[color=darkred] > >> > >> > >> "hunting_bears" wrote: > >> > >> > I am getting this message: windows explorer has stopped working....window > >> > explorer restarting constantly.
