Re: MS Office 2003 has problems in Vista

Other than Office Assistants, what other problems are you experiencing with
the suite on Vista?

Re: MS Office 2003 has problems in Vista

I just resolved the Office Assistant problem, downloading
the Microsoft Agent Core Components and manually
copying the file Agentdpv.dll from c:\Windows\MSAgent
to c:\Windows\System32
How come Microsoft did not include this easy fix
in SP3?

Re: MS Office 2003 has problems in Vista

Are the Office Assistants that important? Its something Microsoft has been
trying phase out since Office XP, they are not even in Office 2007. If you
are looking for help in Office applications, I would use the Help > Contents
and Index features instead of depending on Clippy. Its possible that Service
Pack 3 intentionally removed them or its just an incompatible aspect under
Vista.

You might want to post this issue in the follow ng:

I've never installed the OA on any system in years, but Office 2003 Prof
with all products seems to work flawlessly on our vista installs.

Re: MS Office 2003 has problems in Vista

I don't use the OA, and Office works fine for me.
