| checking for messages in outlook 2003 when running vista Have installed Outlook 03 on Vista Home Premium. When I start Outlook, the program does not automatically check for incoming mail. I have the box checked off in options to automatically send/receive yet the program still doesn't work. How do I fix this issue? |

How do I fix this issue? If the box to send and receive immediately when connected is checked, start by unchecking it, click apply and ok. Close Outlook, reboot, open Outlook, check that box, click apply and ok, close Outlook, reboot, open Outlook and see if it now works as expected. If not, you might try the detect and repair function under Outlook Help on the Outlook Toolbar. If that fails to resolve it, you might want to take this question to the microsoft.public.outlook.general newsgroup and be sure to tell them what you've done to try to resolve this up to that point. -- Michael Solomon Backup is a PC user's best friend DTS-L.Org: http://www.dts-l.org/ |
