| OK to remove IE icon from Quick Launch toolbar? I use Mozilla FF but I know that ocassionally I need IE. When I tried to delete the icon from Quick Launch tolbar, I didn't get the familiar message saying that "you're deleting a shortcut, to delete the program, use Add/Remove" when I hit delete, I get :"are you sure you want to remove this file to recycle bin?" I don't want to remove IE from the laptop, just the IE icon from Quick Launch toolbar. ....Lisa |

| Re: OK to remove IE icon from Quick Launch toolbar? Hi Lisa, IE is integrated into the system, you can't remove it even if you want to. The quicklaunch icon is just a shortcut like any other and is safe to remove. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "hamiltoncruiser" <gerry.lisa******.com> wrote in message news:1190166212.600973.142930@d55g2000hsg.googlegroups.com... >I use Mozilla FF but I know that ocassionally I need IE. > > When I tried to delete the icon from Quick Launch tolbar, I didn't get > the familiar message saying that > "you're deleting a shortcut, to delete the program, use Add/Remove" > when I hit delete, I get :"are you sure you want to remove this file > to recycle bin?" > > I don't want to remove IE from the laptop, just the IE icon from Quick > Launch toolbar. > > ...Lisa > |
