USB Floppy

I have a Mitsumi USB floppy drive that works fine on my emachines XP
but not on my laptop-Toshiba Satellite A135. The drive is recognized
as E drive by "Computer" but the diskette will not load-reading
"Windows cannot access disk".
Any help appreciated.

I've seen this effect with my Mitsumi USB floppy under XP too. If
the drive is recognized correctely as floppy then it get drive letter
A: or B:. Getting E: means that there is a problem.

Try a different USB port or with an USB hub in between.
Maybe it's necessary to remove it in the device manager
before (while it's attached, otherwise it's not visible
offhand).

Re: USB Floppy

Possibly check the BIOS for floppy data
