Heaven knows when one is experiencing a problem with their PC, whether it be OS, hardware, or software related (and to those obsessive geeks: yes, I know OS's are software..), then it's easy for one to become frustrated and perhaps a tad brusque when responding. Thass OK in the long run. (And, yes, I meant to type "thass.") I admire your quick acknowledgement. I see that this thread has continued and you've gotten further suggestions. I hope your problem gets fixed and that you post the high level points of what fixed it. (I.e., "rebuilding the wmi repository fixed my problem"... not how to rebuild the wmi repository...) | Re: wmi i also have wmi popping up saying that wmi provider has stopped working and was closed. What does this mean ? I click on close to remove it from the screen.
