The Genuine and Valid product key comes from the person actually 'buying' a
copy of Windows Vista, not from borrowing yours. You are in breach of your
licence agreement if you are letting other people use your own product key.
As for activation all that the person who has your key will get is 'product
key already in use' You are not helping anyone by suggesting you can supply
them with a key, you are only causing them more trouble.

Sounds like you're the one who doesn't know what you're talking about, as
none of the licences for Vista lets you use the product key on any
installation of Vista multiple times. Check the licence first before trying
to question an MVP.

imo-
the update tool is anot an anit-virus protection exe, it only updates.
therefore turning it off actually halep reduce backdoor intruesion. because
inorder for the update to install on their own the VP-prgm has to be disable
for that period of time, so I have always did the notify selction and I open
the so call back door.
