Windows Easy Transfer

In trying to use subject to move files from a PC running XP to a laptop
running Vista I get the error message:

There was an error scanning the data on your system windows easy transfer
will now be cancelled.

How can I overcome this?

Thanks

Grant

RE: Windows Easy Transfer

Why don't you just use Nero Express to burn your files to CDR,
or XP to copy your files to CD, Memory Stick, External Drive.
Then put the CD, or whatever, in Vista, and copy and paste them.

You are not having any luck with Easy Transfer;

I gave you the link to how to use Easy Trnasfer twice, and this is the 3rd
time you have posted here, AND in other Newsgroups as well.

Follow the above advice.

Re: Windows Easy Transfer

I do apologise for the two previous posts on subject. They did not appear
on my computer after sending them. Contacted my ISP who informed me that the
issue could be that I was not correctly subscribed for news groups. Having
followed their instructions I posted again, this time the third post did
appeared on my computer but the first two are still not showing. So sorry I
have wasted peoples time.

Thanks for the advice I will give it my best effort.

Grant
