| Re: Vista shuts down for no reason I have the exact same problem, and it's driving me nuts. I thought it was the latest Realtek sound drivers or ATI display drivers, but going back to previous versions doesn't solve the problem. It seems to me though that if the pc is going idle the problem occurs. So I suspect it might be the system idle process.
