Not responding....

Guys, whenever i indert a dvd into my DVD-RAM and open d dvd folder, vista
doesn't respond until d DVD contents r properly displayed. This happens with
all dvds n cd's. Im on Ultimate with LG DVD drive, AMD X2 3800+, 2gb RAM, 256
dedicated video memory. Is this a problem of my DVD drive??

Re: Not responding....

Do you found the same problem in other versions of Windows?

AFAIK, CDs & DVDs needs to be identified by the drive before further
actions could be executed. When you insert a CD and close the tray,
you'll notice the light on the drive panel lights up / flashes for a
moment, during this process, the computer would not respond to most of
the commands.

Re: Not responding....

That's normal. Once the files are diplayed it should be OK.
