| Cannot install a program I am trying to install a program, but when it is finalizing the installation of the DVD, I get the following dialog box: "The following application should be closed before continuing the install: Windows Explorer (Process Id: 1888)" I get that, even thought I do not have any Explorer open, that I know of. Please advise what is what this dialog information is trying to tell me. Thanks in advance. |

| Re: Cannot install a program Do I restart the explorer after I installed the new program and then restarted the computer? (I am not very computer literate, as you see). So I gather that the explorer is only termporarily off untill I restart the computer, is that correct? So yes, you're correct. Assuming no changes made by the installer to the system in this area, explorer will restart after a reboot. -- Jon |
