| Keyboard characters have gone awry Gateway laptop w/ Vista Premium. Demons have taken over my keyboard and are messing with my head. The colon (:) types as a dash (-), the "P" types as an asterisk (*), and I don't know what else because I stopped to post this for help. I don't have a clue what changed or how. I have work to do and am at a standstill over this as I don't want to mess up what I am in the middle of. Please help. Thanks, Pflu |

(Assuming you can use another with that machine of course). |

| Re: Keyboard characters have gone awry Thanks guys, I saved work then rebooted but nothing changed. Then I noticed these were the characters of the numlock "on". I switched it off and it is OK again. Thing is I absolutely did not switch numlock to "on" nor is it likely I could have done it by mistake since it takes two very disparate keys to make it functional. Demons is all I can think of.
