Will not wake up ...

I have a number of scheduled tasks

1) To download virus definitions
2) Windows Updates
3) Symantec backup ..

If my computer is in a deep sleep (not sure about a light sleep) then it
will not wake up and run.

How can I auto wake from a deep sleep to run the tasks ?

Did you enable the task option that wakes the computer to execute the
task?

Re: Will not wake up ...

Buried in the Windows Task Scheduler is a properties box to WAKE the
computer. If your tasks cannot do that on their own, you can start them off
(or just a dummy task) by waking with the Scheduler. I believe this works
down to S3 sleep states but will check my info and get back if that was
wrong.

AEG and Symantec Backup do not use the task scheduler :(

How do I create a dummy task, all the options seem to want to run a
program...
