Outlook 2007 Appointments vs reoccuring appointments

When I schedule an appointment, it automatically sets it as a reocurring
appointment which drives me crazy. Even if I remove the recocuring button in
the appt it still appears. Is there a default setting that I should be
changing?

You might get quicker responses by posting to an Outlook group.

Not sure why, mine does not unless I click the Occurrence Tab in the save
dialog.
