| Post-RTM Vista Fixes/Updates: Definitive List/Source? All: I'm desperately trying to understand how to obtain a complete list of all known hotfixes, updates, roll-up updates, patches, security updates, critical updates, OS updates -- in effect, ANY update for Windows Vista RTM by Microsoft since launch. The Windows Catalog (BETA) has a search function, but I can't quite understand how to use it. I cannot filter and it's extremely frustrating. Does Microsoft product a COMPLETE, UP-TO-DATE list of Fixes for Vista? If so, where? If it is the catalog (mentioned previously), then can someone please explain how to do a proper query? It's just not evident how to do this. Many thanks... |

The Catalog takes a simple search string like Windows Vista and then you press Search and it will show you all the entries that match that. If you want something a little more technical just set up a WSUS 3.0 server and it will down load all the catalog information (and fixes for you). Of course an end user has only to enable automatic updates to ensure themselves of being up to date as anything you do will be potentially out of date unless you take an automated feed such as WSUS. Please feel free to explain what you want to do and maybe we can assist you further. -- Mike Brannigan |

| Re: Post-RTM Vista Fixes/Updates: Definitive List/Source? Are you looking for a list of Hotfixes in KB articles that have not been released to the public as of yet as well? These are only available from MS Support. The last I saw there were 150+ Hotfixes not yet released. These will probably be part of SP1.
