| can view in folders some graphic file types- not others In Vista, when I open up a directory- and I choose view icons (of any size)- I can see icons of tif, jpeg and gif files but not wmf or cgm file types. Is there any way to get Vista to show these? I have other graphic programs which can show those files, but I like to be able to quickly view a folder's collection of images as icons. Joe |

| Re: can view in folders some graphic file types- not others I'm no smart guy, because I don't have an answer. But it's probably because those formats are very old. I found where in Jan '06 MS issued a security patch for wmf files in Vista, so maybe they are afraid it could be a security problem. They've also dropped support for animated Gifs in Windows Photo Gallery. | Re: can view in folders some graphic file types- not others Yuh, you're probably right- MS just abandoned those file types- but they were visible in XP's directories.
