Local Printer Port

I am trying to get a Vista Business PC to print to a Win98 PC with printer
attached. All are on a network. I added the printer using local printer
port \\publicpc\pubptr. I printed once. Now, the Vista PC shows the
printer as offline and cannot get it to go online. I deleted the printer
and wanted to add it back and now it says the local port already exists.
How can I delete the port so I can add it back? And does anyone know a
better way to print with this setup? Thanks, Diane

RE: Local Printer Port

On Vista, just go into, Network, Network Sharing, and Add Network Device.
And DON'T add it as a printer atttached to Vista
