| Adobe Type 1 fonts & Creative Suite 2 I'm disappointed that my Type 1 fonts (I have about 1,200 total, but use only groups at a time) no longer will work under Vista. I simply cannot afford to replace them en masse with OpenType fonts. Is there no way of converting them to OpenType? I realize this is also involves Adobe, but it's still disappointing nonetheless. On the same note, it's sad that Adobe has abandoned CS2 and those of us users that still use it, telling us our options are to upgrade to version 3. At least on my HP Pavilion ZD7000, it's totally unusable due to the palettes jumping off the edges of the screen. Granted perhaps not every user has that same problem due to video card differences, etc., but I'm unable to use Vista until I can afford to upgrade to Creative Suite 3, which is definitely not an inexpensive proposition! For me, any upgrades of my systems to Vista involve literally a couple thousand dollars for new fonts, as well as CS3 upgrades. Neil |
