| Remove Favorite Links from Folder View I did it once but it has reappeard... the left pane in a folder with Folder Links. How do I get rid of it? I just want to see what's in a folder. Why is it so hard to find the answer and not a right click away or in the Views menu. Thanks for help. |

I just want to see what's in a folder. Why >is it so hard to find the answer and not a right click away or in the Views Hey John, It's easy to do, although quite difficult to discover ... The "Folders" bar which separates the Folders view from the Favourite Links view can be slid up and down. If you accidently slide it all the way down, the Folders disappear and you're left with only the Favourite Links view. To get rid of Favourite Links, slide the Folders bar all the way to the top of the left-hand pane in Explorer, so they cover teh Favourite Links. You need to place your cursor over the top edge of the Folders bar, so that the cursor changes from "upper-left arrow" to a double-headed, up-and-down arrow. No slide up and down, as desired. Personally, I find the semi-compulosry "Favourite Links" a pain in the arse, I much prefer to have Folders. I guess some dev guy on the Shell Team (mistakenly) thought he knew what users really want, better than users themselves ... Hope this helps, Andrew |
