| Who gives a Rats Ass Who cares if someone has issues with installing Vista. Thousands of people have issues with it for one reason or another. Thousands of people have issues with Linux, Ubuntu, RedHat, Mac OS, etc.... Yes we all know that Vista needs work, but who cares? Microsoft is going to be the dominant player for many years, regardless of what the Linux zealots say, if Linux eventually takes over desktop domination, we will all be so old by then we won't even be using computers. If you like Vista, run with it. If you have problems with Vista, post your question. If you have problems with Ubuntu or Linux, post your question in THEIR forum. What a bunch of babies! Who's fault is it that Vista ships with 500+ known bugs? I don't really expect any answer from Microsoft's #1 butt kisser. You MVPs are such a laughable bunch of apologists. Really. |

Buggy software has become way too much of a standard already and accepted thing that it really scares me. How would you feel if you drove a car with buggy traction control and ABS that would randomly engage a brake or two? How would you feel if you walked through an automatic door that randomly decides to close at 10x the speed with full torque and crush the odd human being here and there? Maybe you? There are plenty areas where software just simply *cannot* ship with bugs. Why bugs are becoming such an accepted thing is beyond me... I mean I understand that nobody is perfect and that everyone makes mistakes. Myself included. But we aren't just seeing a few bugs go around the software world these days. We are seeing a friggin epidemic! It seems to me that quality has gone completely out the window with a lot of software developers. -- Stephan 2003 Yamaha R6 君のこと思い出す日なんてないのは 君のこと忘れたときがないから |

Bugs exist, especially when the os must be compatible with legacy apps over 10yrs old. That's got to be a tough bill to fill...to write for new and keep the old happy. I'm sure MS wishes they could clean slate and do a whole new deal...no registry etc. But they would completely shut out the past and that ain't gonna happen. Didn't mac do that? But they're much smaller of course. Frank |

Frank, you've already demonstrated nobody can show you anything since you love to pretend that you are already the ultimate authority on computers, yet you claim you run a dinky little marketing company form your kitchen table with you probably sitting in your underwear and you further admit it took you six months to figure out Vista. Doesn't sound like you know sh*t about Windows or much about computers either. ROTFLMAO! >Bugs exist, especially when the os must be compatible with legacy apps >over 10yrs old. That makes absolutely no sense at all. Coming from you, typical. >That's got to be a tough bill to fill...to write for new and keep the >old happy. Not for smart programmers... oops excuse me, they like to be called "software engineers" now. That reminds me, I got to drag the garbage cans to the curb tonight, the "sanitation engineer" will by stopping by in his big blue garbage truck. <giggle> |
