Current printer is unavailable

This is my fault I'm sure. LOL...not really funny. I shouldn't be messing
around in the Registry, etc.

Anyway, I get this error when trying to print from within office and IE so
far. At one point after my failed tweaking, when I tried to start Excel
2007, Office 2007 reconfigured itself. After that I can't print. I've
uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2007 as well as my printer to no avail.

Can someone please help me. I guess I could just wipe my drive and
reinstall Windows Vista et al but was hoping not to do that.

Scott

Re: Current printer is unavailable

Thank you oh thank you Bill Gates! I used a restore point which fixed the
problem! YES! Not too familiar with this since I've just come over from
Windows 2000. Great!

Re: Current printer is unavailable

And so now, stay out of the registry. I have used PCs since '95 and have
never tweaked a registry entry.

Re: Current printer is unavailable

LOL...well, I'm not that familiar yet with Vista so I'll be more careful.
Been writing programs since 1972
