OS Partition finally too small, can't resize it

Hi,

before installing Vista on my system my drives was partitioned.

I install Vista on a 20Gb partition. but now I'm always in red and only
1.6Gb is available.

I have try to extend the partition using the integrated partition extender,
but this doesn't works on the OS partition!

So, can I copy this boot partition on another drive? (if yes, how)
or does the acronis utility can resize the boot partition?

thanks for your guides.

Jerome.

Acronis Disk Director is the easiest way, but only the latest version
(Build 2160) works with Vista, so please check the Build before using
it.

Re: OS Partition finally too small, can't resize it

have you looked at cleaning up the drive.
moving pictures/videos to another partition.
deleting the cache and history.
running disk cleanup.

yes, everything is already on another drive.

but the usage still high

the windows folder himself (and subfolders) takes 13.5GB!
I'm using Vista Premium X64

Re: OS Partition finally too small, can't resize it

did you do an upgrade where the
windowsold
or what ever it might be called.
folder might be deleted.

mine is ultimate 64 bit and windows is just a little over 11gb.
