How to change folder icon in documents folder

I cannot find a way to do this. The folder used to show a green folder, now
it is beige/yellow, can anyone help me out please?
TIA,

Thanks.
However that option doesn't appear.

Re: How to change folder icon in documents folder

Folders are usually yellow, even in an office filing cabinet. That is why
the standard folder is also yellow. If yours was once green, that is because
a particular program YOU installed does that as part of it's install
routine. Their choice.

Suggest you search through ALL of the properties to find that which doesn't
appear. Browse to one of the hundreds of locations on your computer where
icons are found (hint = the place where the program involved is installed
to).

It is there.

Read the original post. He is referring to the "Documents" folder which
should be green.

You read again! Hint = look at the post heading.

He said a folder icon *IN* the documents folder - not the documents folder
icon.

We could argue all day about what "in" means. Anyway it should be clear
from the contents of the post that "in" here is referring to the icon that
is "next to" the Documents folder and by the "green" reference. Try to keep
up.

Re: How to change folder icon in documents folder

Hi John--

You can probably color folder icons by using a 3rd party icon colorer like
"Iconoid" free from www.silysot.com
and there are many others. I don't know a way to make a folder Documents or
in Documents "green" unless you encrypt folders and they get colored that
way that is native to Windows.

Re: How to change folder icon in documents folder

I wonder if the folder in question has a customise tab?

My 'Documents' folder does NOT have a customise button, but other beige
yellow folder have a customize tab.

What I am thinking is this: if truly this is the Documents folder and it
turned yellow, that a surprise. However, if it has a customize tab then its
an impostor, and you could a) Change its appearance. b) Troubleshoot how
the impostor got there.

Guy

Re: How to change folder icon in documents folder

You probably used some third-party software to change folder color. I don't
remember any function within any Windows that would allow color change.
