I have Windows Vista business from MSDNAA.I installed and activated them
correctly.

But, I had to format my disk , so I reinstalled my system and now it refuses
to activate.It says the serial I have is in use.

What can I do?

you are a pirate until you prove otherwise crap like you get from Microsoft.

The copy he is using is virtually free. It is part of his MSDN subscription
that has hundreds of programs for his use - 10 installs of each. He paid
pennies for Vista.

So, instead of mounting your horse <again> why don't you tell him how to
activate his computer in less than 5 minutes - instead of spending 45
minutes or more to install Linux. He already knows Windows.

Tell him how you have been "transitioning" to Ubuntu for over 4 months now -
and still don't have the skill set of a 10 year old.
