connecting to tv

I am trying to connect my asus a8js with Vista Home Premium to my tv and am
not having much success. I am able to get the desktop extended on to the tv,
but what I want to do is mirror it. When I select this option, nothing
happens. I am connecting via an s-video cable, and my video card is the
geforce go 7700.
