Extend option ghosted out - can't extend partition? HELP!

OK, so I run Windows Vista Ultimate. I have 3 partitions. One is drive C
where all my important files and programs, etc. are. Then there's drive M. I
created drive M specifically for media (that's where the M comes in) -
Pictures, videos, and music. Then there's drive S which was created by
Windows BitLocker Preparation Tool so that I can use BitLocker. I have around
11.5GB of unallocated disk space that I took from drive C and I want to move
it to drive M because I only have 1.5GB of space left on drive M. The problem
is, when I right click drive M (or drive S, for that matter) the "Extend
Partition" option is ghosted out - I can't click on it, which means I can't
extend the partition. Please help. Thanks.

There are limitations in the partitioning capabilities in Vista. The free
space has to exist to the right of the volume you wish to add it to. If
that's not the case it won't work.

You would need a 3rd party partitioning tool such as Acronis Disk Director
Suite, version 10, or BootIt NG. BootIt NG has a 30 day, full featured,
free trial version.

You can only expand partitions to the right. You can not expand partitions
to the left.

Windows Disk Management is not an advanced partitioning program. If you were
to use Acronis Disk Director Suite you could do what you want.

1. Shrink partition C:

2. Now expand partition M to the left to utilize the unallocated space.
